Miss Universe Zimbabwe board member Apphia Musavengana resigns
Apphia Nyasha Musavengana has resigned from the board of Miss Universe Zimbabwe, effective August 26, 2026.
In a statement titled A Message of Gratitude & Resignation, Musavengana formally announced her departure, saying: “I hereby formally tender my resignation as a Board Member of Miss Universe Zimbabwe, with effect from 26 August 2026.”
“It has been a privilege and an honour to serve on the Board of Miss Universe Zimbabwe,” she said, adding that she was grateful to have been part of an organisation that provides a meaningful platform for “the empowerment, development and advancement of young women in Zimbabwe.”
Musavengana said her decision was made “with careful consideration and appreciation for the opportunity to have served” and stressed that she remained supportive of the organisation’s objectives.
“I remain supportive of the organisation’s objectives and wish the Board, management, contestants and the entire Miss Universe Zimbabwe family continued success in the future,” she said.
She also expressed appreciation to the chairperson, CEO, fellow board members and wider team for their “collaboration, support, and experiences” during her time on the board.
She concluded by wishing Miss Universe Zimbabwe success as it continues to “provide opportunities and empower the next generation of young Zimbabwean women.”
